NetEnt launched its Gonzo’s Quest slot back in 2010, and the game revolutionized the world of online gaming.

That’s why it comes as no surprise that Swedish powerhouse decided to revamp the cult release by adding a popular game mechanic to its already exciting gameplay.

Get Ready for an Improved Experience

Say hello to Gonzo’s Quest Megaways, the new release which NetEnt developed together with Red Tiger Gaming, the studio they acquired last year in a deal worth £220 million.

NetEnt has recently posted a trailer, which showed how the Megaways feature functioned in the upcoming release. Thanks to the trademarked mechanic, developed by the Australian company Big Time Gaming, the revamped version of the popular title will be able to award payouts going up to 20,000 times the bet.

Gonzo’s Quest Megaways will feature stunning graphics, which will ensure the game’s visual quality competes with the current generation of video slots in the market. Playable across all platforms, NetEnt’s upcoming release will also take place in a lush jungle of South America, while its new reel set, consisting of six reels and four rows, has been adjusted to the new game engine.

With familiar stone symbols populating the reels, the updated version will also feature the Avalanche icons and multiplier trail. The latter will start at 1x, with the possibility of being increased to 5x.

More Ways to Win

The biggest difference, when compared to the original title, is the fact that Megaways mechanic provides between 64 and 117,649 different ways to win on each spin.

Players should be on a lookout for the Earthquake feature. Whenever activated, the Earthquake will disintegrate all low-value symbols. Unbreakable Wilds can stay on the reels even after a winning combination is formed, helping punters grab neat payouts.

The game’s Free Spins round is activated thanks to the Free Fall symbols, and can later help retrigger the feature as well. Not enough action? Then you’ll love the Royal Wheel mini-game, where you’ll be able to claim additional spins.

Gonzo’s Quest Megaways is scheduled to go live on July 23. Once the game hits the market, you’ll be able to play it at any online casino powered by NetEnt.
