Money Train 2 is a sequel of the very popular Money Train video slot, released by Relax Gaming in 2019. After the huge success of the original game, Relax Gaming did not want to wait too long before they release the sequel. The two video slots are similar, but there are several differences that can easily be spotted. The 2020 release is a five-reel video slot that benefits from 40 paylines and offers a couple of interesting additional features – the Respins feature, available during the base game, and the Bonus feature, triggered by three or more Scatters.
The reels are placed in a futuristic-looking Wild West. It seems that there was an apocalypse, and that remaining humanity is living in a chaotic world. The reel grid can be found on the wagon of the train that transports the money. We have five reels, four rows, and 40 paylines to benefit from. Players can wager from $0.10 to $20 per single spin. Land three or more matching icons on a payline and you will start winning payouts. Three of a kind is the minimum for landing wins.
Now, the crew that is trying to rob the train is really weird-looking. It seems that the leader of the gang is the Necromancer, who uses his special electricity powers to stop the train. The Respins feature starts every time two Bonus Scatters appear on the reels. The triggering Scatters will both reveal a random multiplier, which is then combined into one. Respins will continue until there is a winning spin, and with every non-winning spin, the total multiplier will increase by 1x. Once a winning spin occurs, the total multiplier will be applied on the win.
Three or more Bonus Scatters on the reels will trigger the Bonus feature, called the Money Cart Bonus Round. The triggering Scatters are locked in their places, and gamers get 3 spins. The multiplier values of the locked Scatters will combine and will be applied on the final win. Each time you land a symbol on the reels during the feature, the number of spins will reset to 3. The sequel seems to be somewhat better than the original, but only time will tell whether it will be as successful as Money Train.
