One lucky player from Norway couldn’t believe his fortune after winning a stunning jackpot worth €5.2 million.
Lady Luck smiled upon him last week, while playing Yggdrasil Gaming’s progressive jackpot release, Empire Fortune on NorgesAutomaten mobile website, owned by Swedish Betsson.
This fortunate player managed to break not one, but two records while becoming a millionaire. First of all, he managed to win the biggest jackpot ever paid out by Empire Fortune. The previous one was set over Christmas last year, when a lucky player hit a jackpot of €3.3 million.
The win is also a record one for NorgesAutomaten.
The Norwegian has been a member of the gaming site since 2008, but we don’t know whether he had any luck in the past. We guess the multi-million jackpot was worth of waiting.
Yggdrasil Gaming Chief Executive Officer, Fredrik Elmqvist, said everyone at the company was very excited that one of their players had hit a record-breaking jackpot. He added Yggdrasil’s progressive jackpots had the engaging base game that customers were so fond of.
Elmqvist emphasized the fact the number of players and operators offering Yggdrasil’s slots were growing, and stated he was sure another lucky player would soon win again.
Launched in 2015, Empire Fortune is a five-reel video slot with 10 paylines, rich in features and sharing a jackpot pool with another Yggdrasil’s popular release, Joker Millions, which means the available jackpots can reach extremely high amounts.
There are three different jackpots available to players, while the Empire Jackpot is the most lucrative one. As we’ve mentioned, this high variance slot has lots of features, including Hold Feature, Free Spins Mode, Jackpot Wheel and a multiplier of up to 10x.
The Malta-based provider of online and mobile casino games, was founded in 2013 and very quickly emerged as one the biggest and most respected names in the industry.
Today, Yggdrasil offers its award-winning content, which includes online and mobile casinos, video slots, classic and video scratch games and pooled progressive jackpots to some of the world’s leading operators.
