Yggdrasil Gaming has announced the arrival of the latest addition to its offering of video slot games.
Titled Champions of Rome, the fresh release will bring mighty gladiators to the reels, in an action-packed package that is guaranteed to keep players seated for hours.
As you may have guessed from its name, the new game is set in the Colosseum, while the reels are populated with symbols such as swords, tridents and maces. Wild and Scatters are definitely the ones players will want to see more frequently, as they have the power to unlock the game’s exciting features.
The Added Wilds is the game’s main feature, bringing four Wild symbols on the reels whenever two Scatters appear during the main game, as well as in every spin during the Free Spins round. When it comes to the Free Spins round, the developers at Yggdrasil have decided to give two different modes – Training Mode or Deathmatch – with players themselves choosing the one they want to play.
Training Mode brings eight spins and allows players to keep all of their winnings. Deathmatch mode, however, offers fewer spins but bring a multiplier of up to 4x on all winning. Punters will need to show their bravery here, as a defeat will cost them all what they’ve earned during the round.
Those who lose will get a consolation prize, which can include coins or spins that can be used in Training Mode.
Champions of Rome is developed using the company’s in-house developed HTML5 framework called iSense2.0, offering seamless gameplay on a wide selection of desktop and mobile devices.
Commenting on the launch of the new release, head of slots at Yggdrasil Gaming, Jonas Strandman said Champions of Rome was a visually impressive game where players were in control of how much they wanted to risk.
He pointed out that seasoned slot warriors could satisfy their thirst for adrenaline by choosing to risk it all, while more casual players could make a more conservative choice with guaranteed winnings. Strandman added the gameplay would be entertaining whatever strategy they chose, especially with four Wilds hitting the reel on a regular basis.
