London’s Grosvenor House hosted this year’s International Gaming Awards (IGA), also known as the gaming industry Oscars, which took place on February 5, 2018.
The ceremony, which has been held annually since 2008, acknowledges the efforts of land-based and online casino operators and is regarded as one of biggest events in the industry.
Acknowledging The Best
The IGA’s online newspaper, gave its global readers an equal voice, from those enjoying games on their smartphones to those managing world-class casinos around the world. Listening carefully to the views of the clients and industry professionals, the IGA managed to recognize and acknowledge the leading companies in the business.
Highly anticipated by developers, operators, and gaming aficionados, the event serves as a charity fundraiser, while this year the donations went to CARE, a non-profit international humanitarian agency delivering emergency relief. CARE is present in 94 countries, supporting more than 900 projects, and directly reaching over 80 million people.
The IGA has managed to raise £255,000 for this noble cause.
The most anticipated of the 11th IGA was the awards ceremony, which recognized the best gaming operators across all tiers of the gaming world.
A Prestigious Event
This year’s IGA was a truly international event since the list of winners includes casino operators from all four corners of the world – from Australia to Asia, from the Americas to Europe.
